Happy to chat to freshers about their experience and help them get the most out of their first week? Want to be a part of building a festival? Interested in leading tours around Brighton? 

We are looking for 16 reliable, friendly and hard working people to work as a part of the Events Team, playing a key role in the delivery of the Students’ Union Freshers Week events programme. This is an exciting and rewarding role involving a variety of different shifts including box office ticket sales,building events, stewarding, leading tours and general assistance at some of the larger Freshers’ Week events. There is also the opportunity to continue working throughout the year, on the larger Students’ Union events programme.

Job Title:  Events Crew     

Responsible to: Events Supervisor

Salary: £8.62 per hour, (made up of £7.70 basic wage plus 92p holiday pay). The rate of pay will be higher if you are over 25 in order to meet the increase in national minimum wage for over staff over 25. 

Contract: Fixed term, ending 29th September 2019, there may be the option to extend this further on a zero hours basis

Hours of work: 25 – 30 hours from Thursday 19th Sept 2019-Sunday 29th September inclusive and will include evenings and weekend work. You must be able to work any day or evening during this period. Additional compulsory paid training will take place on Tuesday 17th September.
