With thousands of students and lots going on, we work hard to ensure our members know what the Students’ Union does and how they can get involved. We’re looking for a Student Designer to promote the activities going on at the Students’ Union.

This is a great opportunity to develop your marketing and design skills and experience, and make sure that students know what’s on at the Students’ Union and about all the great things we do for students. You’ll be designing and publishing materials, as part of our friendly communications team, who is always learning and coming up with new ideas on how to keep people informed.

You don’t need to be a student in order to apply for this role. Job Title:  Student Designer

Responsible to: Union Marketing Manager

Salary: Your pay will be £8.26 per hour. This is made up of £7.38 basic rate, and 88p holiday pay. The rate of pay will be higher if you are over 25 in order to meet the increase in national minimum wage for staff over 25.

Contract: Fixed term ending 31st July 2019, with the possibility to extend.

Hours of work: 7.5-21 hours per week, between 9am-5.30pm Monday to Friday. Hours are flexible around fixed academic commitments, but will more than likely include some evenings and weekend work during term time, with hours to be agreed with your line manager.
