We’re looking for someone to provide administrative support to students who run our ever growing student media groups, helping them to operate in a safe and supported way.
You’ll be working in the busy Union Hub in Falmer House and be the first point of contact for all student media enquiries, dealing with enquiries face-to-face, via phone and over email. You’ll help students run media by assisting with and communicating with them about affiliation forms, access to the media rooms, and handover documents. You’ll administer new student media applications and set up newly approved groups, as well as encourage continual development by administering the reward & recognition scheme.

Job Title: Student Media Administrator
Responsible to: Activities Manager
Salary: £8.62 per hour, (made up of £7.70 basic wage plus 92p holiday pay). The rate of pay will be higher if you are over 25 in order to meet the increase in national minimum wage for over staff over 25.
Hours of work: 15 to 20 hours per week during term time plus 6 weeks outside term time, with occasional evening and weekend work. Hours are flexible around fixed academic commitments.
Contract: Fixed term, ending July 17th 2020
