Digital Support Assistant

We’re looking for a proactive and digitally skilled Digital Support Assistant to join our team and help deliver a smooth, accessible and engaging online experience for students and staff at Sussex Students’ Union. As the first point of contact for digital support, you’ll assist colleagues and student groups with everything from updating website content to resolving common IT issues. You’ll be part of an inclusive, student-led organisation that values collaboration, innovation and care in everything we do.

In this role, you’ll support the day-to-day management of our website, digital platforms, and IT helpdesk, ensuring content is accurate, accessible and easy to navigate. You’ll help maintain the Union’s systems, respond to support requests, and escalate more technical challenges when needed. You’ll also contribute to larger digital projects, including website redevelopment, improving how students and staff interact with our online tools and content, and support ongoing work to review and streamline our IT service delivery.

You’ll work closely with staff, elected officers, student groups and external providers to ensure a responsive and supportive digital service. Strong communication and organisational skills are key, as is a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone looking to build hands-on experience in digital operations and make a real difference to how students connect with their Union online.

Salary: £15.24 per hour (made up of £13.60 + £1.64 holiday pay)

Hours of work: 10 hours per week during term time

Contract: Fixed term - 15th September 2025 to 30th May 2026

GETTING PAID
