Content Coordinator

Closed 30/03/2020

Are you a social media whizz? A creative dynamo? Do you think great content matters and do you get annoyed by bad grammar? Do you like creating video content? Do you care about student issues? If your answer to these is yes - please come and join the Students’ Union Communications team!

We are a small, friendly team and we are looking for a Content Co-ordinator who has their finger on the pulse of student issues and all things digital. We would love a self-starter, a great communicator and someone friendly and inspiring to work on content across our channels - from Instagram, Facebook and Twitter to email, our website, print and Enlitened.

Ideally you will have experience of content creation - whether that’s professionally, voluntary work on websites, magazines etc or in a personal capacity (maybe you’re a blogger, run your own social media channels or your own website).

As a representative body one of our key aims is to increase BAME applicants to work in the Students' Union. To support this we will ask you an optional question about your ethnic origin. Not providing this information will not adversely affect your application for the role. This information will be hidden during the application process. BAME staff are also welcome and supported to join our BAME Staff Network.

We welcome applications from everyone, including but not exclusive to; people with an ethnic minority or Chinese background, people with a disability, people with dependants, and people who identify as LGBTQ+. We conduct anonymous shortlisting and all of our interview panels have Unconscious Bias Training in order to support the above. We also consider flexible working for those with care commitments. If you have any suggestions as to how we could improve our language or application process please let us know.
